St. Wilfred Preschool was started in August of 2005. Our center is open year-round serving children from 1 – 5 years of age. We offer full and part-time programs. We are open Monday – Friday from 7am – 6pm.

      Using Creative Curriculum for Preschool, our classrooms are safe, attractive, comfortable, and set up into labeled (pictures and words) learning centers consisting of literacy, dramatic play, woodworking, blocks, sand, water, number concepts, science, cooking, music & movement, table toys. We have a large shaded, fenced playground for active outdoor play.

 We have a caring, nurturing staff. All teachers have B.S.  degree in Early Education or Child Development Associate or Equivalency Certificate. All staff is trained in CPR & 1^st Aid.

 We provide nutritious snack in the morning and afternoon. The children bring their own lunch. We provide milk. Every Friday is “Pizza Friday”. The children may purchase a lunch of 2 pieces of pizza, fruit, & milk for $3.50. This is a fundraiser to help us buy items to enrich our program.

 St. Wilfred is a provider of Free Voluntary Pre-Kindergarten (VPK). This 3-hour/day from August - May program is for all 4-year-old children residing in Florida. Children here for an extended day pay a “wrap-around” fee. To participate in this program, your child must be 4 years old by September 1^st. You must have a Certificate of Eligibility from the Early Learning Coalition. Please call (941) 556 –1600 for more information.

 St. Wilfred is also a provider of School Readiness Scholarship. This is a State of Florida program (based on financial need) to help pay for childcare. Calling the same number will provide information for this program.
